My Contributions to the Technical Report Project

As the Team Lead of Harvest Heroes, I actively contributed to the development and presentation of our technical report, titled "Enhancing Vertical Farming through Automation: Integrating Float Switches, 3D Printed Components, and Sensor Technology." My contributions included:

1. Delegation of Tasks:
   Organised and assigned tasks to team members, ensuring effective collaboration and timely completion of deliverables.

2. Problem and Purpose Statement (Team Effort):
   Collaborated with the team to craft a clear and focused problem and purpose statement, establishing the foundation for our report.

3. Team Briefing on Vertical Farming Concepts:
   (Prior Knowledge) Presented an overview of vertical farming principles and its background to align the team’s understanding with the project goals.

4. Executive Summary (ChatGPT-Assisted):
   Composed a concise and impactful executive summary, highlighting the key aspects and solutions proposed in the report.

5. Conceptual Drawings for Modifications:
   Developed initial design sketches to visualise and communicate potential modifications to the vertical farming system.

6. CAD Design of Proposed Enhancements:

   • I utilised SolidWorks to create detailed CAD models of essential components for the proposed enhancements to the 4T48 Hydroponics NFT system namely the structure support, light blockers and pH, EC and temperature meter holding apparatus. These models included precise dimensions and functional designs, ensuring compatibility with the existing system.
   • These CAD models were critical for the fabrication process, as they are the core of my team's enhancements that would ensure that the enhanced system would operate autonomously and efficiently.

7. Research on Potential Enhancements:
   Conducted thorough research to identify innovative and feasible enhancements, ensuring alignment with the project’s objectives.

8. Letter of Transmittal (ChatGPT-Assisted):
   Drafted a professional letter to accompany the report, summarizing its purpose and proposed solutions.

9. Proposed Solutions:
   Played a key role in detailing and presenting practical and sustainable solutions to improve the 4T48 Hydroponics NFT system.
